Handmade Soap & Tallow Products
Made in small batches for you and your family
Why Handmade Soap?
Has your skin ever been itchy after using a commercially made bar of soap? Or have you every had to slather on the lotion after a shower to make sure your skin isn’t dry and itchy? This is only one of the reasons why our family started using handmade soap bars.
handmade tallow soap
We use locally sourced grass-fed tallow and homegrown lard in our handmade soap bars. These products are rendered by Rachel, and make a very nourishing and creamy bar of soap that is long-lasting (when dried properly between uses).

Meet Rachel
I started making handmade soaps for our family, and selling to friends and family. And as my stash of soaps built up, I had the opportunity to start selling in a local shop. I then expanded to my online shop and have continued to make and sell homemade soaps and tallow products!
All-Natural Ingredients
At Linen and Logs, we choose to use all-natural ingredients in our handmade soaps. For colorants – using natural clays, powders, or infusions; and for scents – quality essential oils or unscented. We also use herbal and powder infusions for added skin benefits.

Cold Process Soap
When we make our all-natural soap bars, we use a process called Cold Process. This involves a chemical reaction between sodium hydroxide (also known as lye) and the fats and oils (tallow, lard, oils, butters, etc.) to make soap. Once the saponifaction process (the chemical process) there is no lye left in the soap bar. The bar of soap is cleansing and naturally contains glycerin.
Why Linen and Logs Soap?
We started making all-natural soap to benefit our skin on a daily basis – and we want to share that with your family. We make an assortment of scented and unscented soaps for everyone from the baby to the elderly. Nontoxic, all-natural, gentle and nourishing for your skin.
